Patrick sings the role of the Press Secretary in this pastiche of 18th and 19th century operas by Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti, and Weber. 

Taking cues from the news, Grand Harmonie, in collaboration with music director Geoff McDonald, stage director Julia Mintzer, and visual artist Charles Ogilvie, will premiere a brand-new staged production drawing on themes of lies, deceit, and scandal that feel as if they’ve been ripped from today’s headlines. Opera arrangements for winds were the populist entertainment of the 19th century - the rich had their opera houses, while the common people bootlegged the music and learned the hit tunes from traveling Harmonie bands. At once contemporary and historical, this pastiche opera will feature music from Mozart, Beethoven, Rossini, and Weber in rarely-performed period arrangements and new arrangements in period style by Yoni Kahn.
